« Analysing the Process in Musical Creation » is a four-chapter web documentary written and directed by François-Xavier Féron and Benoît Martin as part of the MuTeC project (Musicology of contemporary composition techniques, 2009-2012) funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR) and coordinated by Nicolas Donin (IRCAM, Analysis of Musical Practices Team).
Chapter 1 discusses the issues, methods and starting points of research into creative processes.
