The Wanted and For Sale Office offers, every day at the transmediale, a space for physically or virtually present participants to exchange knowledge, tools and services of all sorts on the margins of consumer's society. Meetings are hatched and exchanges operate, animated only by the desire to share and put competences in common in order to carry through collaborative, innovative projects.
Particularly sensitive to this approach, Arte opened this space on its website dedicated to the kom.post collective. There, this collective will give accounts of the meetings and movements generated by the Wanted and For Sale Office by shooting three short films whose protagonists will be the "seekers" and the "sellers", who are at the core of the system.
From the idea that in a cultural event the main expectation of the participants is to engage with that event and to participate, kom.post offers a series of personalized Do It Yourself tours which will in turn be archived and posted on this platform and on the kom.post website.

Profil

Kom.post

Founded in January 2009 in Berlin, kom.post is an interdisciplinary collective made up of thirty international artists and researchers. Kompost members base their research and actions on process. They attach less importance to the production of a collective work than to setting in motion a terrain for interrogation which activates creative micro-groups. As the work methods are diverse, each member is able to nourish, prolong, and counterbalance the research of another member or that of the group as a whole, following the principles which are dear to kom.post : the exchange of knowledge and the reprise, or re-take. The roles of author, contributor, and spectator are constantly exchanged, thereby maintaining the members in a continuous research on forms of creation, transmission and artistic sharing, still permitted and valid in these 2.0 times. Kom.post is nomadic and presents its creations (performances, new forms of mediation, exhibitions) in various European and international events.
